We provide stretch tent hire for garden parties, weddings, pop-up events and longer term outdoor shelter solutions. Based in York, we offer stretch tent hire in Yorkshire and the North of the UK. With a range of stretch tent sizes available to hire, we can cover events from small get-togethers, to larger festivals and celebrations. Working closely with our manufacturer in South Africa, we are also able to develop custom shelter options for tricky spaces.

While based on the flawless design of traditional Bedouin tents, stretch tents were actually born and perfected in Cape Town, South Africa. Designed to withstand high coastal winds, strong summer sunshine, and unpredictable rainfall, you might well think that they're perfect for the random weather of the UK too.

When it comes to strength, functionality, and aesthetic appearance, we may be biased, but you wont find a better style of tent. All our tents are pre-treated with a water repellent, anti-microbial solution and a Teflon finish to ensure longevity in the face of the elements. Weatherproof, fire-retardant, and designed to be rigged without breaking, stretch tents are technologically at the cutting-edge of fabric science.
All our tents are designed, manufactured and imported directly from our manufacturer in Cape Town. Authentic, genuine and incredibly reliable, stretch tents are designed to be enjoyed over and over again.
What's with the name "Empty Quarter Events"?
In short, its all about our love of adventure, alternative travel, and the desire to broaden horizons. We are collectors and purveyors of unique experiences...
It all started back in 2009 when founders - Lukas & Abbey - stepped foot in the UAE. Swiftly falling in love with the enchantment of the sand dunes, the friendliness of the people, and the abundance of the sunshine, their hearts were sold. While the glitz, glam and champagne lifestyle of Dubai was indeed rather splendid, it was their love of alternative adventures through the UAE's incredible desert, mountains and wadis that kept them going back for more. They then discovered Rub' al Khali (aka "The Empty Quarter") in 2012, and its fair to say it changed horizons forever.
Encompassing most of the southern third of the Arabian Peninsula, the "Empty Quarter" covers some 650,000 km² including parts of Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. It is an awe inspiring landscape which - to EQE - symbolizes the beauty of exploration, travel, and the movement of time, space, and people. A seemingly endless expanse of desert. "Empty", yet full of life. An alternative adventure like no other. And an influence our founders run through every element of Empty Quarter Events Ltd.
